Kilwins' serves up the absolute best chocolate, fudge, and ice cream in all of Lee County. This review will pertain to the Fort Myers Beach location.

Like being cast in the next Willy Wonka movie, Kilwin's will transport you into a nostalgic feel of old-time confection shops. From the tall glass jars filled with all sorts of fantastic treats, to the aroma so rich that you'd swear you could taste the air.

Located right in the heart of Fort Myers Beach in the Times Square section, Kilwin's offers up their homemade chocolate which melts in your mouth with all of it's rich and creamy goodness. Their fudge, offered in several varieties, is also extremely rich and delicious. As for their ice cream.... It is the absolute best that you will find in all Lee county.

Kilwin's also makes many specialty treats such as homemade toffee popcorn, chocolate dipped twinkies, chocolate dipped oreos, cream filled chocolate candies, and my favorite... The chocolate dipped gummy bears. They also offer over 30 flavors of premium quality ice cream. Be sure to order yours in one of their freshly made waffle cones or waffle bowls.

It really doesn't get much better than this, folks. After a nice meal at one of the restaurants, make it a point to get dessert at Kilwin's. From the sensual aroma of the fudge when you walk in, to the rich, velvety ice cream flowing past the back of your tongue on your way out.... Kilwin's will have all of your senses craving more.

Kilwin's has not forgotten about their diabetic customers either. There is a rather large assortment of sugar free confections as well. Kilwin's has left no stone unturned in their efforts to satisfy the confectionary cravings of just about everyone and anyone. If bringing the fun and excitement back into getting dessert is what they were trying to accomplish, they surely hit a perfect bullseye.

Favorite Fudge and Chocolate:
Our winning pick for the chocolate treats was a tie between the chocolate covered gummy bears and the chocolate dipped twinkie. Both are absolutely scrumptious. Our favorite fudge was definitely the Chocolate Peanut Butter Fudge. It was so rich and so satisfying. The portion is also so generous that you will be munching on this for days. That is of course, if you don't lose control and devour it in the parking lot. Be sure to pack your self-control when visiting Kilwin's.

Favorite Ice Cream:
This was an extremely difficult decision to make. It actually took us several visits to decide on a favorite, but in the end we chose the Pistachio which was hands down the best pistachio ice cream we've had. This premium treat has actual pistachio pieces in it (not almonds like inferior store-bought pistachio ice cream). The texture is thick and creamy. It was perfect served in one of their fresh waffle bowls.
