Nomiki's Plaka is one of Fort Myers hidden treasures. This small, family run hole-in-the-wall Greek restaurant serves up exceptionally good, authentic Greek dishes. The restaurant's decor treats you to the sights and sounds of different parts of Greece. Towards the back of the restaurant, you can even see some family photos on the wall. I almost want to say that there is a slight hint of a luncheonette feel to the decor. Overall, it's a very comfortable dining atmosphere.
The small Greek grocery section at the back offers various Greek sundries. They offer a small, but definitive selection of Greek cheeses, spices, desserts, and canned goods.
Upon entering, you can pretty much sit wherever you want to. you can choose from a table or a booth. Both offer an ample amount of space and comfort.
The waitstaff here is very friendly and attentive. They checked on us several times throughout the meal to make sure that all of our needs were met. Our food was promptly served as it was done being prepared. None of it ever sat under heat lamps or in a warmer. We couldn't have asked for better service.
As an appetizer we ordered the Hummus and the Spanakopita. Both were perfectly prepared and delicious. The hummus was smooth and full of flavor, and the spanakopita was light and flaky with a wonderful moist spinach and feta cheese filling.
For our entrees we ordered the Souvlakia Platter and the Gareedes Saganaki. The Souvlakia platter consisted of wonderfully moist skewered pork and a nice sized portion of the house rice. It was also accompanied by a serving of pita bread and a small Greek salad. The Gareedes Saganaki consisted of shrimp sauteed in a tomato-onion sauce, topped with melted feta cheese. This dish also included a portion of the house rice, vegetable, some pita bread, and a small Greek salad. Both entrees were wonderfully delicious.
For dessert we ordered the homemade Kadaifi which was the perfect close to a perfect meal. The other desserts also looked just as fresh and tasty. We highly recommend ordering dessert if you aren't too full from the very generously portioned entrees.
All in all, this restaurant by far, serves up the best Greek food in Fort Myers. It's where all of the locals go when they want a wonderfully prepared Greek meal. So if you want to take a break from all of the commercial chain restaurants in the area, we recommend giving Nomiki's Plaka a try. You'll be glad you did.

Favorite Entree:
The Souvlakia Platter was superbly delicious. The meat was so juicy and tender. This is a favorite of many. Make it yours today.

Favorite Appetizer:
We completely enjoyed the spanakopita appetizer. The spinach and feta filling was moist and flavorful, while the outer crust was perfectly flaky.
