The moment we walked through the door to this fantastically purple painted establishment we knew we were in for a good time. La Casita offers a very festive atmosphere and a bright, colorful Mexican themed decor. This small, friendly restaurant dishes up huge flavor at a not-so-huge price.

As soon as the hostess seated us, we were greeted by our waiter who introduced himself and took our drink order. He returned quickly with our drinks, as well as a nice portion of freshly made tortilla chips and a bowl of the absolute freshest salsa this side of the border. The chips and salsa were complimentary, and were a nice start to liven our palates.

For an appetizer we ordered the shrimp coctail which was extremely fresh and had a wonderfully lively taste. We would highly recommend trying it.

The first entree we got was the Chicken Quesadilla which was hearty and fresh. It came with plenty of side toppings and tasted great. The house guacamole was one of the best we've had. The portion was big enough for the average person to take some home for lunch the next day.

The second entree that we ordered was the Mexican Platter. This thing was huge. It came with tacos, burritos, enchiladas, and a whole lot of side fixings. This could have easily fed two people. Everything on the plate was freshly made and delicious. Our tastebuds were having a party all on their own.

For dessert we ordered the hot apple pie. It was the perfect ending to a perfect meal. Not overly sweet. Just wonderfully tasting.

All in all, this little purple restaurant serves up the freshest and tastiest Mexican food in Fort Myers. If you are looking for some authentic Mexican food, then this is the place to go. Seating is a bit limited, but it's worth the wait if there is one. We really enjoyed this restaurant and highly recommend it.
