Joe's Crab Shack is in a great location. Seated right on the water with wonderful water views. The atmosphere is fun and lively.
Our meal started off with an order of the Crazy Good CrabDip. It was excellent. To put it simply, it was in fact crazy-good as the name suggested. We also tried the Mussels Marinara. These were great. I didn't get one bite of sand throughout the entire bucket. Hooray for perfectly cleaned mussels. Something that even some of the finer dining establishments that we've been to have failed miserably at.
Our next course was the Crab Daddy Feast which contained snow, king, and dungeness crab all together. We split this among several of us, It was meant to be a main entree, and would have surely sent some lucky chap home with a full belly.
The first entree we ordered was the Fire Grilled Steak and Malibu Shrimp. This was a well portioned meal. It was well seasoned and cooked as ordered. The mixed veggie was slightly undercooked, but by no means unedible.
The next entree we tried was the Crab Cake Dinner. Crab cakes are a good way to measure up a restaurant. Either they are going to be moist and flavorfull, or they are going to be dried out crab-jerky-like disgraces. Joe's crab cakes definitely hit the mark. these were full of flavor. They weren't oily or seated too long. They were absolutely perfect. We enjoyed every last bite.
For dessert we tried the Bananas Foster which was very satisfying. Not overly sweet, andt definitely a nice portion suitable for sharing after a big meal.

Favorite Entree:
Our favorite was the Crab Cakes, hands down. They were perfectly cooked, perfectly seasoned, and they were freshly prepared...... And you knew it after the first bite.

Favorite Appetizer:
Our favorite appetizer was the Crazy Good Crab Dip. It was flavorful, seasoned nicely, and the portion was plenty to go around. The only think I would improve on would be the presentation. It was boring and unimaginative.
